Are Guitar Lessons Necessary?

I went to guitar lessons for a bit, and it was pretty much guitar study like learning notes. I don’t mind learning chords, but notes are pretty dull. Plus, I just wanna do cover’s of songs pretty much. The only thing that i’m mostly confused about it strumming patterns of the choruses of songs.

No, I don’t reckon. If you just play guitar 3 hours or so everyday, you’re bound to learn it, no matter.

It depends on what you want to do.
If you are completely satisfied with your playing then you do not need lessons,
If there is a chance that a teacher can get you through not only what you want to play, but introduce you to more advanced playing then you need a teacher.
I remember a boy who said he didn’t need to go to school, because he already knew everything he would ever need to know.

For how you wish too play i dont reckon lessons would be worth the price. You seem doo only want to play simple songs instead of learning to play extremly well. I wouldnt suggest it but if you choose to it will always be helpful

If all you want to do is cover songs, then you probably don’t need lessons. Although lessons would help you learn them a lot quicker. Figuring out strumming is just a matter of practice and training your ear.
