how to get my dad to let me have guitar lessons?

Author: my friend, who is a boy, said he’ll give me guitar lessons well i really want him to teach me but i have to question my dad if that is ok but the problem is my father is protective of me when it comes to boys.so i was wondering how can i talk to me dad and convince him to let me get those lessons?

You have to respect your dad. He’s an adult, with experience and knowledge that you do not have.
