How To Play Bass Guitar – Lessons for Beginners – Introduction
FULL COURSE: truefire.com More free guitar lessons – bit.ly On Twitter – www.twitter.com On Facebook – www.truefire.com Bass players lay down the foundation in practically every style of music by bridging the gap between the strict rhythm of percussion instruments and the melodic domain of lead instruments and vocals. Todays bassists must not only lock-in with the drummer to serve up the all-vital groove but are now also called on to step up front and treat the audience to a searing and melodic solo from time to time. Brilliant bass players are in high demand and can easily find gigs, making the instrument an attractive proposition for aspiring musicians. But once you choose to play bass, you still face the question of where to start and thats what Bass Basics is all about. Laying down the foundation for freshman bassists, Bass Basics follows an innovative and very effective contextual approach to accelerate the learning process. Youll play your way through the course, learning all of the fundamentals of the instrument from tuning up to nailing that first audition. Bass Basics walks you through each of the lessons in an simple, hands-on fashion without requiring you to struggle through tedious examples and exercises. Better yet, the material is presented from the point of view of a very accomplished musician, who worked his way up from novice to top pro and is willing to share information that hes gathered from decades of top-level stage and studio experience. Iron Maiden – Infinite Dreams _ Bass Cover _ ver.1.1 soft bass tune
One of successful takes I have played the Infinite Dreams on bass; Bass track sounds softly than another version of cover (1.2), that same playing but with treble bass postprocessing; *incorrect higher notes in small-bass-solo fill played, I know about this, cause it learned from the widespread (but incorrect) Guitar Pro Transcription. I have not listened song attentively before I started to learn Guitar Pro Transcription, so this is a result. It’s an examle, that playing by ear maybe better than learning other people’s incorrect transcriptions. Later I’ll play it better way. **Overall this small error & other improvisations (spontaneous or plotted), that mismatched to right original basslines, does not ruin a full harmony of song. I reckon it’s a brilliant song for improvisation, & a brilliant way to play my own bassline of this with a lot of improvisation. Maybe I’ll do this someday.

Another sound processing of the same bass cover (trebly & crispy on Steve Harris manner). My previous original cover sounds softly. *incorrect higher notes in small-bass-solo fill played, I know about this, cause it learned from the widespread (but incorrect) Guitar Pro Transcription. Should I learn how to play guitar before I learn how to play bass?
I want to play bass, but many people say that I should learn guitar first. Is it really vital to learn guitar first? I’m saving up to buy my instrument and don’t want to spend more than I need to. But at the same time I don’t want to have a poor foundation for what I will learn.
Thanks
Red Hot Chili Peppers – Fortune Faded [Bass Cover]
School’s out, I’ve got cashflow and that results in me purchasing new music gear
. This video is recorded with my new Zoom R16 and it’s working fantastic. I didn’t have to rush this cover so I reckon it’s a tad better than the others, right me if I’m incorrect though
. I also bought Pod Farm 2 so I might do some covers that requires effects. It feels stupid typing this time after time but I guess one more time doesn’t hurt. This is a cover, and this is how I play the song. In this video I had played the bass for 1 year and a half. Basses: Ibanez BTB200 Hohner B2AV (5 String) Soundcard: Zoom R16 (also got a Behringer BXL1800) Audio recorded with: Cubase SX 3 Audio software (not used in this video): Pod Farm 2 Premium Video recorded with: Sanyo Xacti VPC-CG10EX Video edited with: Sony Vegas Pro 9.0
