I dont know any chords,
im going for a hail mary and trying to learn dust in the wind as a first fingerstyle song.
Its not the fingering i have distress with its playing the chords right

i like writing songs
so umm..
what are some simple guitar chords to learn?
and..
what are some guitar chords that flow well togethor?

I want to learn to play the guitar. nothing fancy, just the chords so I can learn worship songs and sing them. but I find all the tab stuff confusing. help?

ps i have a book and a dvd but its still confusing, maybe because I can’t figure out how to tune it..

I am teaching myself guitar, and I have already practiced basic notes and such, but now its time to learn the chords! I have a fantastic memory so I can remember the fingerings, but when I try to switch chords, it is really hard and takes forever! I have to place one finger down at a time, and watch what I am doing. How can I learn quicker, and how long do you reckon it will take before I can change easily without looking?

Hi, I am starting to play guitar and I am wondering whether I would need to know them or would just playing tabs be okay. If you do play I would appreciate your answers, could you also tell me how long you have been playing(out of interest) thanks.

Ok so i can play about 15 chords, i havent really got the hang of reading tabs yet (any advice or help on that?) , i have a decent guitar, and i’m not plotting on having lessons.

I want to teach myself, so where do I go from here?

Any tips or advice muchly appreciated!

what first chords should i learn to play the acoustic guitar? Its been sitting in my room for the past year and i finally have the time to take a look at it. Any type of music what are the main chords and can someone please clarify to me why some notes are like C7 and with all the numbers?

I like playing and writing classic and hardcore punk. That’s all I do, brilliant ancient 70/s80s punk. Other than Dead Kennedys songs, I’ve never played a punk song that doesn’t consist entirey of power chords (DK used barre chords), nor have I found a need to use anything but p.c. when writing punk songs. My band has two guitarists, so I can play around there. So should I venture outside of power chords?

So I started playing guitar in December and I just recently got a chord chart with all the chords and I want to learn them. What’s the quickest/most effecient way to learn them?
Yeah it shows the fingering and which strings to mute and all that.
