Hi,

I am a intermediate guitarist that likes to play pretty much all of Tool, what effects do you reckon Adam is using in The Pot and Sober? Someone told me he is using a Boss Tremolo and a Boss Mega Distortion if thats what he is using I can’t get it to sound as clean with such a strong crunch rumble effect. Can someone help me?

I like to write songs on guitar, and recording makes songwriting better imo. I plug into my pc using a MIDI (M-Audio Quick Track Pro). When I play my guitar the sound comes out of my speakers on my computer. Is there any way to add real-time (not after) effects (Gain, Distortion, Equalizer) to my guitar? and record it that way as well?

I have a line 6 spider III 30 watt amp. Is it worth buying a Boss GT-10 effects processor?

i already have a wah, distortion and overdrive but i was thinking about either reverb, delay, a compressor or an envelope filter. what would you recommend. i play classic rock and modern.

Mainly for metal, blues too.

Does anyone have any original thoughts?

To clarify it a bit more what I mean is:

1. Take an effects pedal or something really different but electronic.
2. Pull it apart.
3. Fit it inside the guitar with the controls on the guitar exterior.
Can anyone link me to some things I could buy and build in?

Effects: guitar>boss tu-2 tuner, crybaby, digitech whammy 4, proco vintage rat, bbe green screamer od, behringer eq, mxr phase 90, behringer digital delay>ampeg vt-120 amp

it seems that the phaser won’t work well in this order – it’s only noticeable when the knob is turned to 2 o’clock and up.

any hints, recommendations are welcome – thanks in advance
