A gorgeous song that I learned after watching a tutorial video by Justin Sandercoe. See here….. www.youtube.com I highly recommend all budding guitarist to check out his channel. It has a wealth of valuable information. There are many mistakes (as usual!!!!) but it’s not supposed to be a performance, rather a record of my own progress as I learn guitar. I apologize for the poor sound quality, but I hope to invest in a Samson Q2U Microphone sometime soon (All Donations Welcome!!!) . I’m given to know that, for the money, it’s a brilliant choice for voice and Guitar. But I’m open to suggestions….

This is an ancient favourite of mine. Maybe my favourite song ever. Certainly go and listen to the original by Poison. Then listen to it again and again because it’s fucking brilliant. I can’t really do it justice by myself given my drumming, bass playing and guitar playing, but it was worth a shot all the same Recorded Sunday evening after work. Recording process is the same as usual, all one takes (5 tracks, guitar (Richie Kotzen Strat), bass (Ibanez something or other) and two drum tracks (Ashton Rhythm VX electronic kit)) recorded in that order on a Boss BR864 Delight in!

The star power path may not have been perfect but it was at the very least decent. As you can see the bot is also able to use the whammy bar to help maximize it’s score. For those that don’t know, a bot (small for robot) is a device/program that will automatically play Guitar Hero based on how it was programmed. This bot was made by modifying an Xbox 360 controller and wiring it up to a microcontroller. FAQs: Q: How long did it take to build this and get it working? A: I had something functional (see last video) in around 1 week. To get this fully working, it took around 2 months of working on it on and off. Q: What system is this for? A: This is for the Xbox 360 version of Guitar Hero 3 (although untested, it will most likely work for GH1 and GH2 also) Q: Do you play on Xbox Live? A: I have an Xbox Live account but I have NO plans on taking this bot on there just for the sake of cheating the high scores. Q: Why would you build this to cheat? A: The challenge of this project was making a Guitar Hero playing robot, which I assure you was anything but simple.
