first off all lets get things straight about them they ae both gret bands but you guys are compearing kirk hammett to marty frediman? marty frediman is one of the most succsefullest soloist ever kirk is just a peace of shit poser who is not even brilliant at guitar, dave is 1000000 bet then kirk also listen to his stuff dave is a musical genuis he solos are amzing listen to wake up dead, holy wars, hagar 18, kick the chair, my last words, in my darkest hour set the world afire, then listen to battery fight fire with fire it makes kirk solos sound like a piece of shit because first off all he use wah wah pedal to cover up his mistakes and plays the same type of sacle postion ever fucking time james writes most of the stuff except kirks unwanted solo’s, solo like one arent even that brilliant the melady is made by james so that cleary staes james surpassed kirk along time ago. i swear to god if you went up to one of the best guitarist like eddie van halen and questioned do you reckon kirk is one of the best guitarist he would laugh people always say the same thing about him “o he was thought by joe’ srevie vai was thought by joe so was yngiwe jhon pecturccie, why didn’t kirk turn out like them because he lacks the abillty and power i mean eddie is beter then joe and if eddie thought kirk, kirk wouldnt improve at all. just because he is in metallica dosent make you brilliant that is one of the first steps of being overrated if you band is very sucseful you will be known makeing you overrated. and dont tell me “kirks solo are ful of pasion” that is bullshit they sound all the same i listened to metallica for years i like them not kirk though, and don’t read this and get up set just becuse the word krik sucks is used in it take this as a lesson about millions of people are saying exactely what i am saying. fell free to comment. if you want to argue here is my hotmail

I bought the Epiphone Les Paul Special II. I want to learn to play, but my parents said lessons were too expensive. I tried teaching myself a small. It probably wouldn’t be too hard to teach yourself chords and that crap, but its much harder to teach yourself to shred some Killswitch.

How should I learn to play? Should I learn shitty chords some more before I try the metal? Tips? Simple Metal or rock songs I should learn? Any ways I should teach myself?
