I just really want to progress in my guitar skills! I had a guitar since November, and I really didn’t progress as I thought I would. I’ve been bone idle, and didn’t really do anything. I learned some of the basics, like the string letter like E A D G B E, I know how to read tablature, tune the guitar, and I know some chords, like Em and G. Also, I know how to play the intro of Nirvana’s “Come As You Are”, and currently learning the intro for Metallica’s “Enter Sandman”, which is really simple. Although, after 6 months, I could have been a brilliant player by now, but I’m still a beginner. So now I am very determined to learn to play guitar, as it is my life dream. Also, I don’t have money for any fancy lessons, and all that crap. There should be a way to learn how to play guitar without dishing out any money. So, the reason why I’m writing this is because I want to know if anyone knows how to complete this task…………..

I really want to learn how to play. Also I want to know on how you learned to play guitar and how long it took you. Thanks!

Ive been playing guitar for around 4 years and fixing/building them for around 2 and Im absolutely obsessed with building guitars but Im not sure if theres any money in that, at least enough to make a career out of it. I know I will be doing it till I die as just a leisure activity, but I cant see myself doing anything else. What Im wondering is if theres any money in building/fixing guitars. Thanks in advance!

does it cost money to get a custom guitar built by a guitar company? if so, how much?
by a company like Jackson or B.C. Rich or Gibson or Schecter or something like that?
