i am buying the yamaha eg112 and i really want to play with distortion as i like to play death metal,so i am wondering is the the yamaha eg112 build in distortion so that i can play the guitar distorted directly or i have to buy a distortion pedal seperately?plz help or do i have to buy other guitar and plz tell how to distort the guitars?

This is a presentation of the BYOC Tremolo pedal from buildyourownclone.com. It is a small company that sells DIY kits for home made guitar pedals. It is a replica of the EA Tremolo (from the Electronics Australia magazine), a 1968 triangle wave tremolo circuit that sounds like the vintage tremolos found in ancient tube amps. This is one of their best sellers since it is honestly simple to make, it has a reasonable price (like all their pedal kits) and it does not require any experience with a soldering kit. In this small video, the guy has a tendency to use extreme settings on the knobs – the middle settings also sound very fascinating. It only has a triangle wave setting (no square wave), but it only needs that since it sounds very musical and natural. Brilliant alternative to a chorus or a phaser to give some retro melancholy to a song, similar to some of this video’s notes. I really like its tone… and people say it will be pretty standard too, unlike the “experiments” with different kinds of ancient fuzz clones which often sound like stepping on a cat’s throat (or like Dave Mustaine’s grandma on speed). Disclaimer: I am not the guitar player in this video… I believe it is the guy who runs BYOC. Nice feeling in the tunes!

Hi, im a newbie on guitar and wondered how everyone Else’s solos sounded better than mine. then i found out they had an effects pedal!

Could anyone recommend a brilliant pedal but honestly cheap as its my first one- ive only been playing for about 3 months

what do you reckon of it? can you play classic 80′s metal or is it only for nu metal, etc.?

I wonder why a lot of guitarist use this effect… I’m trying to buy effect pedals and I play rock, metal, punk and hardcore music…

i am makeing my own guitar and would like build in some kind of effects is there any simple and cheap way to do this i would like some kind of distortion of maybe delay. if not how do you make an effects pedal?
