Ok so i’m suppose to be picking out a song for my guitar lesson and we are on the path to shredding solos, i can’t shred now but i wanna learn how. I was wondering if the song One would be a brilliant song to build up to shredding? I know that One has a solo that seems challenging but my guitar teacher said look for a song that has like single notes in it and I got thinking this one, like the parts before the huge solo. I want to know how hard it is to play and if you would recommend me playing that song to learn to shred. Thanks to all who have answered.

I am about to buy an ibanez that is $400, with the edge 3 tremolo in it. i hear people say it’s not the best bridge, and goes terrible in a few months, and doesn’t stay in tune. if that’s the case, why don’t they just spend like $100 and have an official licensed Floyd Rose tremolo system place in?

I heard people say the strings break easily if u re-string it on a different hand guitar. is it right?

I was given a left handed Gibson C-1 Classic by my brother and I’m left handed. I want to learn to play. A finger placement chart would be a brilliant start. Where can I find it on the web?

I don’t know which hand to play the guitar with… I naturally would be left handed, but after playing guitar hero right handed (I didnt want to make people reconfigure the game or w/e), it now feels like right handed might be about even with left. I want to try left handed, but then the fret numbers are backwards…

To left handed players…is dealing with backwards fret numbers a huge deal..?

I’ve been playing a right-handed guitar for about a year and a half, now, and it’s beenn giving me grief. Aware of the fact that there are left-handed guitars, I set out to find one. But, I don’t know which model would be best for me. I’ve been playing for a small while, and I stopped for a year or two, but I still know how to play a lot. Any suggestions from you all, my friends?

i heard there was a book on it. i am avid at guitar hero, so i have at least some left hand dexterity, which would help with a real guitar.
