The guitar I received has the pick guard covered with a bunch of cheap looking “Jasmine” text.
It comes with one strap button. What brilliant is that? I drilled a hole in the neck heal to add a button and it is like a chocolate easter bunny – just a shell about 1/8 inch thick and hollow inside!
Anyone know a kid who wants to learn guitar around Escondido, Ca?

This is the guitar I have now and I have been playing for about 2 years. I would only suggest it for someone who isnt sure if playing the guitar is right for them or not. If you know you want to play guitar and its a passion then spend the extra money on something that will be able to keep up with your skill level as you get better. You really cant place a price on music, so go to the music store nearest you and just set down for an hour and play around on anything you can. You wont find the right guitar, it finds you and when it does you will know. Just so you know you get what you pay for and I just dont see someone wanting to be a legit guitarist after playing this. As soon as you play someone elses guitar you will want something better. Just do the research and I promise you will be so pleased. Hope I Helped.

From all the positive reviews I’ve read, I must have just gotten a bum guitar. The one I received had a large crack in the back of the guitar and seperated from the side. It was not hurt in shipping as the boxes that it came in showed no hurt. I would have exchanged it for another one but Amazon would only give me a refund. Oh well. I guess I’ll shop local next time.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter who just learned to play guitar, but she has been playing violin for the past 19 years since she was five.
She liked it so far, but I am sure her expectation was partly based no the price paid. The guitar sounded pretty brilliant to me who has not played any instrument.
