What type of guitar effects pedal for Slash solo sound?

Author: Ive spent a few months learning my pentatonics but my guitar sounds a bit dull without an effects pedal…what type of effects pedal would be used to get a brilliant sound to play solos?
I mean the the Master of Puppets solo sort of noise if that helps lol
